Despite a booming economy and low vacancy rate for commercial and industrial rental properties in Calgary, a 6,500-square-foot warehouse in the city’s South East industrial zone was vacant for almost six months. When a new tenant finally expressed some interest in the property, they wanted assurance from the landlord that something would be done about the general cleanliness of the building’s interior space – the building hadn’t been cleaned in months.
